Fajr Festival unveils perspective lineup

The Selection board of the 35th edition of Fajr International Film Festival has named 11 titles for Iran Perspective section of this year.

The board released Iran Cinema Perspective lineup on January 9. The movies are slated to go on screen along with 33 films in the main national competition section.

‘Conditional Freedom’ by Hossein Shahabi, ‘Eshnougle’ by Hadi Hajatmand and Ali Soleymani Sarandi, ‘Hell’s Emperor’ by Parviz Sheikhtadi, ‘Atmosphere Station’ by Mehdi Jafari, and ‘Red Trauma’ by Esmaeel Mihan-Doust are among the selected films.

The lineup also includes ‘House of the Other’ by Behnoush Sadeqi, ‘Fish Lake’ by Maryam Dousti, ‘Invitation Letter’ by Mehrdad Farid, ‘On Flame’ by Hamid Nematollah, ‘Majan’ by Rahman Seifi-Azad, and ‘Wishbone’ (Yadam To Ra Faramoush) by Ali Atshani.

This edition of Fajr Film Festival is scheduled to begin on January 31 and will continue for ten days.

Established in 1982, the Fajr Film Festival is an event that celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films.

Since its establishment, Fajr International Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.
